Characterizing Cannabis Use Among Adults Undergoing Cancer Treatment

Overview

Socializing Online

Adults undergoing cancer treatment at the Stephenson Cancer Center are being surveyed regarding their cannabis use and cancer-related symptoms, perceptions of the potential benefits and side effects of cannabis use, beliefs about medical and recreational legalization, subjective well-being, and daily functioning. Participants are asked to complete monthly surveys for 6 months to identify potential changes in cannabis use and/or perceptions of use, to assess physical and psychological symptoms, and to track use of medications. In addition, Stephenson Cancer Center providers will be surveyed to anonymously assess knowledge and beliefs about cannabis, and to determine how they are likely to discuss or advise their patients about medical cannabis use.
